Every year, the University of Denver hosts an award ceremony to highlight their community. As part of these awards, the Spanish department at the university chose me as the recipient for their Excellence in the Spanish Major award.

Magna Cum Laude
Magna cum laude is an academic honor used by educational institutions to signify that an academic degree was earned with notable distinction. At the University of Denver, students with a 3.85 GPA or above are awarded the title.

University of Denver Writing Program: Student Spotlight
As part of a project to highlight multilingual students, I was interviewed about my experience as a spanish speaker on campus. This interview was then turned into a student spotlight article, and a podcast.

Essay Publication
After winning an award for it, my essay was chosen by the writing department at the University of Denver to be published in their magazine Writ Large.

Best Portfolio
My three pieces of writing, "Gender Roles: Through the Eye of Carrie Mae Weems," "Studies in Times of Covid," and "From Here and From There" were chosen to be featured at the Writing Program's Fall Showcase as winners for the Best Portfolio category.
