Critical Race and Ethnic Studies

This essay was written for my class Latinx Cultural Studies. The prompt for this project was to take an object of cultural significance and relate it back to what we learned in class. Given the unique opportunity, I decided to write about my favorite singer, Bad Bunny. For my final project, I also made a video that accompanied my essay. This assignment was really special to me because I got to share something that is culturally significant to me with my peers.

This essay was written for my class, Race and Popular Culture. For this paper, we were instructed to write about the ways in which race was portrayed in the media. Given my personal background, and a few films we watched in class, I decided to write about how Mexican people are often stereotyped in media.
